In this matcha green tea smoothie, the matcha green tea gives you a gentler caffeine energy boost when compared to tea or coffee, but has been shown to improve brain function. It is also a good antioxidant and helps support the liver and heart health.
This is power boosting smoothie with spinach, banana and avocado, along with the cashew nuts providing that all important protein needed for the slower release of sugars.
If you find that you just need an extra sweetness you can add in 2 dates, to taste
Serves 1
1 handful of spinach
½ banana
½ avocado
½ cup cashew nuts
1 teaspoon of Matcha green tea
2 cups almond milk
2 dates optional
Method for Matcha Green Tea Smoothie:
- Place all the ingredients in a nutri-bullet or powerful blender and blitz
